Semi-evergreen to evergreen tree with lush, green, leathery foliage that is rough to the touch. Summer heat prompts growth of greenish-white, petal-like bracts surrounding tiny, true flowers that give way to fleshy, strawberry-like fruits. A choice tree for group planting as a Privacy screen, or stand alone lawn specimen.
