A sterile-hybrid perennial shrub that grows to form an upright bush attractive to birds, bees, and butterflies. Tall, thin flowering spikes carrying light violet-blue blooms rise from a bed of silvery-green foliage during summer. Both flowers and foliage are highly aromatic, and flowers may be dried and crushed for use in perfumey sachets. Can be kept in containers, planted as a border or hedge, or mass planted.
