Native to the western coast of the United States and northern Mexico, this vigorous semi-evergreen shrub blankets the earth in felty, silver-green foliage, spreading through underground rhizomes. Striking, scarlet red, trumpet-shaped flowers bloom in summer and fall, and are pollinated by hummingbirds. A great plant along pathways or climbing over walls.
