Native to coastal California, an herbaceous perennial that forms a slowly spreading bed of aromatic foliage. Upright stalks carry large whorls of highly fragrant, two-lipped, rosy pink flowers that peek out from deep burgundy-purple calyxes, and are abundantly available through spring and summer. Attracts hummingbirds, bees, butterflies, and a multitude of other pollinators and beneficial bugs. Wonderfully suited as a groundcover in a pollinator garden, or planted as a container companion.
